Jane met Dr. Carolyn Lee Roesler who heads up 'Beyond the Orphanage' set up to support children in Etheopia, too old to be picked up by orphanages but too young to support themselves. Where possible, for these children aged 10 -17, an extended family member is traced and the family unit is supported with health care, education, and donations of food. It is always the intention to try to keep families together. The charity is entirely financed by donations... from Emirates Airlines passengers (envelopes) and local initiatives with Jumeirah Primary School pupils, parents and teachers.
